W przypadku wystąpienia usterki kategorii I konieczne jest ograniczenie prędkości na przejeździe do 20 km/h. Ograniczenie następuje poprzez wyświetlanie sygnału Osp1 na tarczy ostrzegawczej przejazdowej (selektywnie dla toru i kierunku lub na wszystkich tarczach). Dla usterek kategorii II nie jest konieczne wprowadzenie ograniczenia prędkości na przejeździe
